If I had all the money in the world, I would spend the rest of my life taking professional portraits for people... and family photos... and event photos for non-profits. Some people just want a nice portrait for their Linkedin account, other people regularly speak professionally at conferences and universities and they need professional portraits to promote their speaking engagements. For better or worse, our digital selves are a part of our first impression when we're entering into just about every professional encounter.
My approach to professional portraits are pretty much the same as everything else I do. I prefer to work with natural outdoor light. We can go into a beautiful landscaped area, or a downtown urban environment, or if you have lots of natural light in your office or studio then that can make for a striking environmental portrait, which creates an even more personal portrait for you to present.
Below are some examples of recent professional portraits. I love them. I hope you do too.
